Karl L. Wambach

Karl L. Wambach is President of BGRE in Germany, where he is responsible for overseeing Brookfield’s directly owned real estate assets. Since joining Brookfield in 2016, Karl has brought more than 20 years of real estate experience, having worked extensively across the organization and led several major transactions and repositioning initiatives, including Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of several Brookfield entities and portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Brookfield, Karl was Managing Director and Head of Asset Management for Hines Germany. In that role, he also served on the firm’s Operations and Management Committee in Houston, Texas. Earlier in his career, he worked for a real estate bank in Munich and Dublin.

Karl holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Edward’s University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
